MEMORIES
To the Class of 1991
This is it! The time has come to move on from north Adams State College. We've spent
four years, (or more for some of us), striving for this point in time when we put on our robes
and walk across the stage
When we arrived in 1987 as anxious freshman, we didn't think that four years would ever
be over. That Fall we survived the incredible October 4th snowstorm. It left us without pow-
er, or classes for a few days. We made lots of friends, found our way around, and learned
what life was like at north Adams State.
1988, our sophomore year, was the year for traveling. We rallied in our own front yard to
protest budget cuts and joined a state-wide crusade to save Public higher Education. We
caravaned in buses, vans, and cars across the state to rally on the lawn of the statehouse
in Boston.
Spring semester we cheered the men's basketball team at home as they made their way
to the nCAA Division 3 playoffs! Once again we traveled. This time, to Albany, new York
to root for the "Hawkes" as they made north Adams State history.
Junior year was here before we knew or wanted it to be. We continued to fight to keep our
school affordable and alive. The fiscal crisis in Massachusetts continued to get worse but
we still didn't quit! Most of all we had fun and made it to the end of the year.
And finally WE WERE SEniORS. We worked hard to finish classes and still had lots
of fun! The good times with friends will never be forgotten: the Friday afternoons in the
Campus Center Pub; Thursday nights with Jack, Jerry, and Fritz; Blackington Street in the
Spring; Intramural games in Venable Gym,- Friends; Climbing the stairs of Mount Murdock;
Snowball fights on Taconic and Murdock lawns; Attempting to walk down the Fire Lane
in any season; Bowman Hall; The computer lab; The library; The Rock; Vote no on 3; Route
2 West; The Mohawk Trail; Friends; The Hairpin Turn; The endless rides across the state;
The trips back after breaks; The War in the Gulf; The beautiful Fall foliage and crisp Winter
mornings; Friends; Mt. Greylock; The natural Bridge; The Beacon; WJJW and the Hangover
Show; The faculty members that made a difference in your undergraduate career; Friends;
Finals Week; Senior Week; And finally .... Graduation.
This is just a small list of things not to be forgotten as we go on from north Adams State
College. Everyone leaves with their own memories and pieces to be cherished. Most impor-
tantly, never forget the friends you made and the good times you had, because life will
never be the same again.
All the best,
Luck and happiness to all!!

Thank You
There are quite a few people that need to be acknowledged for their help and
support this past year. They are, (and not necessarily in any order), all very im-
portant to North Adams State College and the Class of 1991. Without further
babbling, all 1 can say is Thank You sooooo much!
These wonderful people are:
Dave Milley, Diane Collins, the Executive Cabinet '90-'91, Carla Parker, Bill Ca-
prari and the Campus Center Staff, Dr. Maust, the office of Residence Life, APA,
AFSCME, the Sumi Colligan, Dr. Debbie Foss-Qoodman, Lizbo, Kelly Cosgrave,
my roommates, (mostly putting up with me), Sue Bailey, Sharon Zavattaro, ARA
Food Services, The Beacon, WJJW, Dave Sampson, Eileen Qallivan and every-
one else.
I am sure that 1 have forgotten to mention quite a few people. Thank you to
everyone who helped to make this MOHAWK '91 possible and the year a great
one!
